Electric Sky has sold a documentary produced by Irish indie GMTV on the threat to the seahorse species, The Seahorse Man (pictured), to British broadcaster UKTV.
Airing on UKTV’s Eden channel on August 24, the 52-minute special tells the story of Irish marine biologist Kealan Doyle and his quest to rescue the seahorse from extinction.
The doc, made with support from RTE and BAI, also dives into the negative impact the Chinese traditional medicine trade is having on the species.
Electric Sky has also sold the documentary to Italy’s Rai, Finnish channel Nelonen, Thailand’s True Visions, Poland’s Planete and Spain’s Multicanal Iberia.
